ESA astronaut Frank De Winne caricature
Frank De Winne was Belgium's second person in space (after Dirk Frimout). He participated in 2 missions to the International Space Station.
He was the first ESA astronaut to command a space mission when he was commander of ISS Expedition 21 in 2009.
He is currently head of the European Astronaut Center of the European Space Agency in Cologne/Germany (Köln).
Frank De Winne was the 2nd Belgian ever in space!
Also a milestone for me:
my first caricature ever painted with acrylic paint (on a small canvas board 17.8x24.1cm).
I've only made 3 like this. I really felt an urge to give it a try this way.
But after 3 attempts I returned to my trusty gouache paint.
